As part of the gas network sales process the Industry has agreed to collaborate and develop a suite of Industry product standards that are now approved and published. The common objective of the GDN's is to introduce product standards that are consistent across the industry. This is to prevent divergence of standards thereby avoiding added cost and complexity in manufacturing and confusion in the market place.

This F9 Gas Industries Standard defines the design and testing requirements for single ferrule compression fittings made of stainless steel. The Waverley brownall Duoloc product is the only product on the market that meets this specification, and is therefore the only specified compression fitting that should be used on the gas infrastructure.

The vast majority of the gas instrumentation infrastructure is fitted with Duoloc fittings that have been supplied to the gas industry for over 25 years.
We cannot emphasise strongly enough the potential of a serious incident if these are mixed with other single or twin ferrule products.
